Documentary film maker and author, Jon Ronson spoke about his investigation into the US military’s strange experiments. The Men Who Stare At Goats is currently being filmed as a major motion picture starring George Clooney, Ewan McGregor, Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges.Ronson is inspired to write this narrative when a man who claims to be a former U.S. military psychic spy tells the journalist he has been reactivated following the 9-11 attack. Ronson decides to investigate this information. His research leads him to the U.S. Army’s strange experiments into extra-sensory perception and telepathy, which strangely enough includes efforts to kill barnyard animals with nothing more than thought. The movie and book explores the apparent madness at the heart of US military intelligence. With first-hand access to the leading players in the story, Jon Ronson examines the extraordinary – and plain bizarre wierd – national secrets at the core of the War on Terror.
  • The 2nd Amendment

There has been a lot of talk about constitutional issues of late.  For instance, the 2nd amendment to the Constitution of the United States is, to this day, still one of the most controversial issues in American society. In order to fully understand the controversies and reasons for them, however, we must first understand the text of the 2nd amendment and what it means. The 2nd amendment reads as follows:A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. There is also a second version of the 2nd amendment, one that was passed out to the states to ratify. The differences are slight – merely punctuation and capitalization:A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
